The Future of Brazilian Industry Is in Manaus: Innovation, Sustainability and the Potential of the Industrial Hub

The Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM) is today one of the main engines of innovation and sustainability in Brazilian industry. Created in 1967, the hub has become a dynamic industrial ecosystem that is home to more than 500 companies and generates around 110,000 direct jobs — in addition to moving more than R$ 160 billion per year, according to data from Suframa (the Manaus Free Trade Zone Superintendence).

A Hub of Technology and Development

In recent years, the PIM has stopped being just an assembly center and has become a hub of technology, research and development, attracting investments from multinationals and strengthening national industry. Sectors such as two-wheelers, consumer electronics, IT goods and concentrates continue to grow steadily, with special emphasis on electric mobility, which is gaining strength globally.

According to the 2024 industrial performance report released by Suframa, the two-wheeler segment grew 15% over the previous year, with more than 1.6 million motorcycles produced. The expansion was driven by both the domestic market and exports to Latin American countries.

Incentives and Sustainability

Beyond economic growth, the Manaus Industrial Hub plays an essential role in preserving the Amazon. The Free Trade Zone’s economic model keeps more than 98% of the Amazon rainforest standing, proving that it is possible to balance development and sustainability. Each company installed contributes, directly or indirectly, to the region’s conservation, generating formal jobs and income for thousands of families.

In the coming years, prospects are even more positive. The federal government announced the renewal of tax incentives until 2073, which ensures stability for new industries and security for long-term investments. National companies such as DBS Indústria are at the forefront of this new phase, investing in proprietary technology, advanced manufacturing and 100% Brazilian production.

Revenue and Job Creation in the Two-Wheeler Sector

With the rise of themes such as Industry 4.0, automation and clean energy, the Manaus Industrial Hub is consolidating itself as a strategic pillar for the country’s future. This is a moment of appreciation for national production and strengthening of local chains — a unique opportunity for companies that want to manufacture their products in Brazil with quality, innovation and global competitiveness.
