Manaus Industrial Hub: The Silent Engine of Brazilian Mobility

When we talk about mobility in Brazil, we often imagine that the transformation starts in large urban centers, where electric scooters, motorcycles and bicycles are increasingly present in daily life. But the truth is that a significant part of this movement is born far from the Rio–São Paulo axis: in the heart of the Amazon. That is where the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM) is located, a silent engine that sustains Brazilian mobility and that, in 2024 and 2025, has been breaking historic production records.

Manaus Industrial Hub: A Bit of History

Officially created in 1967, the Manaus Industrial Hub emerged as an economic development policy to integrate the North region with the rest of the country. Over time, it consolidated itself as one of the main production hubs in Brazil, with emphasis on the two-wheeler sector, consumer electronics, IT and consumer goods.

Today, more than 500 industries operate in this ecosystem, taking advantage of tax incentives and a fully integrated production chain that brings together suppliers, assemblers, technology companies and a skilled workforce.

Motorcycle Production in Manaus in 2024 and 2025

Recent figures prove the strength of this sector. In 2024, the Manaus Hub produced 1,748,317 motorcycles, an 11.1% increase over 2023, the best result in 14 years. For 2025, the projection is even stronger: 1.88 million units, consolidating the hub as the absolute leader in motorcycle production in Brazil.

In the first four months of 2025 alone, 673,125 motorcycles were manufactured, an increase of 11.9% over the same period of the previous year. In the January–May cumulative total, the number jumps to 846,636 units, showing an accelerated pace of growth.

Revenue and Job Creation in the Two-Wheeler Sector

The impact of the Manaus Hub is not only in production, but also in the economy. In the first half of 2025, the two-wheeler sector in Manaus generated R$ 23.3 billion in revenue, a 30.2% jump compared to 2024. In addition, the Hub is responsible for creating more than 20,000 direct jobs, consolidating its importance for both national industry and the regional economy.

The Innovation Ecosystem of the Manaus Industrial Hub

Beyond the numbers, the Manaus Industrial Hub is recognized as one of the few places in the world where the entire production chain of electric motorcycles and scooters is integrated. This environment favors the development of national technologies, the localization of processes and the creation of more competitive solutions for domestic and foreign markets. It is a true ecosystem of innovation and efficiency that positions Brazil as a benchmark in the sector.
